Ingredients:
-1 bag (13 oz) of frozen cavatelli
-2 lbs of fresh broccoli, washed, and cut into small pieces
-4 tbsp olive oil
-6 crushed garlic cloves
-¼ tsp of crushed red pepper
-½ cup chicken stock
-½ cup grated parmesan cheese
-Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. In a large pot of boiling water, add the cavatelli and cook until al dente (reserve 2 cups of pasta water for sauce)
2. Meanwhile, In a large saucepan, heat the oil and butter
3. When hot, add the garlic and cook until it starts to brown
4. Add the steamed broccoli and stir until all of it is covered with the oil and butter
5. Add the chicken stock, crushed red pepper, salt and pepper
6. Add the cooked cavatelli to the pan of broccoli and stir well
7. If you need more sauce, add the pasta water
8. Add the grated cheese
